Tour de Umbria – Cycling Holiday Umbria

Style:Group Difficulty: Medium Length:8 days

This moderate to challenging Cycling Holiday in Umbria gives you an authentic and historic Italian experience. Combined with the relaxing multi night stay itinerary structure, saving you from packing each day, and optional loop rides, the Tour de Umbria is a cycling tour suitable for all levels, and especially suitable for couples or groups with varying cycling abilities.

Located East of the busy Tuscany, Umbria even today is relatively unspoiled by it’s more popular neighbour, making it the perfect region to discover the real Italy. Incredible medieval villages, wonderful wines, arts, crafts and of course the Umbrian cuisine.

Umbria is the birthplace of St.Francis and has possibly Italy’s most stunning medieval towns.  This Cycling Holiday in Umbria will have you riding past fields of vineyards, alongside chestnut and oak forests, and over rolling hills to monasteries, castles, and hilltop villages virtually unchanged since the Middle Ages.

The cycling holiday itinerary includes 2 nights in the outstanding village of Assisi, as well as 2 nights in Bevagna and a visit to the popular ceramics village of Deruta.  No cycling holiday in Umbria would be complete without a wine tasting, and we include tastings of Sagrantino di Montefalco and other Umbrian wines.  Uncrowded streets, great food & wine, and outstanding scenery make a cycling holiday Umbria one of our favourite destinations.
