ANZAC Holiday Weekend Cycling Tour

Tour de Vines is pleased to announce will be running our popular Tour de Murray to Mountains small group guided cycling tour over the ANZAC long weekend holiday this year.  Friday, April 25th April is a public holiday and the perfect excuse for a long weekend getaway.

With a single booking with Tour de vines, your long weekend is sorted, nothing to think about as everything is done for you.  This gourmet cycling tour comprises of 2 nights accommodation, Beechworth on Friday night and Myrtleford on the Saturday night (25th and 26th April), and finishes back in Beechworth on the Sunday afternoon, with plenty of time to head back to your destination ready for work the next day.

The Tour de Murray to Mountains group weekend includes a local guide, and pretty much all meals so there is very little additional expense over the weekend, unless you’d like to purchase some of the many and fantastic wines that we taste along the way, or perhaps some olive oil, fruit or chocolate coated pumpkin seeds direct from the farm! As well as meals, your luggage, return transport and collection of your purchases is all looked after by us.

The Cycling

The cycling route follows the Murray to Mountains Rail Trail, covering 73kms over 2 days, and with many stops in between.  The Rail Trail is off road, paved, safe and easy to navigate, although with a guide close by you won’t even have to worry about that!  And the scenery is just beautiful, with the Victorian Alps never far away as we cycle past vineyards and gourmet food outlets.

Small Group Cycling

Our groups are limited to a maximum of 10 and minimum of 6 like minded riders, making the weekend much more fun and social, and not such a large group that you don’t really get to know anyone.  This relatively small group size also means the locals at the places we visit can spend more time with us and you can chat with the wine makers and producers.

Late April is the perfect time of year to be out cycling in North East Victoria, and with the long weekend it all comes together for a brilliant escape.
