Accommodation

6 nights accommodation is included. You will stay in very comfortable hotels, mostly 4-star. All rooms have en-suite shower or bath facilities. Prices are based on two sharing in twin or double rooms. Singles are available on request. Where possible, we choose hotels well-located to enable you the freedom to explore the local area. Variations may occur depending on specific dates and group size and make-up.

Meals

Most meals are included, and we carefully select the restaurants and venues for cuisine and ambience, and favour those that use local produce. We are happy to arrange for our restaurants to cater for specific dietary requirements and allergies etc., where notified in advance.

Bikes and Equipment

Tour de Vines can provide well-maintained hire bikes & helmets as required, or you can BYO your bike. There are 2 styles of bikes to choose from as follows (prices vary, see website for latest rates): Trek FX Our new Trek FX 24 gear hybrid bikes combine great performance with upright comfort. A beautiful bike, easy to ride, this bike offers a best-of-both-worlds combination of road bike and city bike comfort. 24 gears means you can handle any hills easily. Water bottle holders and rear racks are attached to carry any extras you have without having to use a backpack.

E-Bikes

We have a range of e-bikes available to hire including the commuter style and Australian-designed Velectrix. These bikes are amazing to ride, just like any regular bike but the pedal assist technology provides an extra boost when additional pressure is applied to the pedals. Super easy to use, just like a normal bike with brakes, gears and a very comfortable upright position. Go further with an eBike!

Guides, Luggage Transfers & Support

On small group departures, you have the services of a local guide cycling with you throughout. The guides are enthusiastic experts on the local area and will be able to sort out any problems or special requests that you might have. On all tours, a support bus carries all luggage daily and will always be available for anyone at any point during the day. If, for instance, you want to take a day off the bike, or if a particular day seems a little hard, the bus will take you for as long or as little as you wish to. Any purchases you make are also collected and included in your luggage transfers.

What accommodations are used for this tour?

This tour includes quality accommodation throughout, an ensuite 4-star standard. Variations may occur, but generally this tour is booked at the following properties:

• Beechworth - the iconic Freeman on Ford x 2 nights with full breakfasts
• Milawa - The recently fully refurbished Lancemore at Milawa Resort, including dinner at Merlot restaurant
• Myrtleford - The stunning Panoramia Villas with incredible vistas of the Alpine Valley
• Bright - The newly renovated Bright Velo, using their beautifully restored (Heritage Rooms) x 2 nights

Please note that accommodation may vary for specific dates and/or departures and will be advised before your arrival with a detailed itinerary.

Does this tour include arrival and departure transfers?

Yes, this tour includes pick up and departure transfers on the start day and end dates of the tour (not before or after but can be arranged for an additional fee).

Arrival. Pick-ups are included from Wangaratta train station or Albury airport.

Departure: This tour includes a transfer from Bright back to Beechworth (vehicles can be safely left here) or on to Wangaratta train station or Albury airport. We depart Bright at 10 am with a 2-hour journey to Beechworth, 1.5 hrs to Wangaratta and allow 2.5 hrs to Albury airport. 

Onward flights or trains should be booked for 1 pm or after to be sure of arriving on time.

Are e-bikes available?

You are welcome to BYO your own bike/s or you can hire from any of our quality fleet.
